About Reverend Crow

The Reverend Dr. Earl Crow is a long time resident of the Triad area in North Carolina. His background and training make him the ideal person to officiate and direct your personalized wedding or vow renewal ceremony. He will help you plan the perfect wedding ceremony for your unique needs.

Education

Rev. Crow graduated from Duke University and received his Bachelor of Divinity Degree from the Duke Divinity School. Rev. Crow went on to receive his Ph.D. in Church History from the University of Manchester, England. He completed his Post-Graduate Studies at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Professional Work

Dr. Crow taught Religion and Philosophy for many years at High Point University, as well as chairing his department and serving as the Dean of the Adult Degree Program. He also taught at the Duke University Pastor's school, and currently teaches Religion and Philosophy at Wake Forest University. He has earned the Outstanding Teacher Award from both High Point and Wake Forest.

Pastoral Work

Rev. Crow is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Western NC Conference. He was the senior minister at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church and Franklinville Methodist Church, as well as having served in a part time capacity at other churches in the past.

Other Accomplishments

Dr. Crow was a contributor and editor of The Review of Theology and Philosophy, and contributed a chapter to the book Apostle of Peace. He recently published a new book Bible Stories You Shouldn't Tell Your Children. He is currently working on a sequel to that book as well as a biography of Father Daniel Berrigan, S.J. Dr. Crow co-hosted a morning show on WGHP-TV for several years, and has written columns for the High Point Enterprise and the Winston-Salem Journal.
